The Kingdom 1765

JWPM provided Project Management, Design/Assigned Certifier, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Construction stage and PSDP services for this complete renovation and extension of two protected structures which were amongst the oldest buildings in the town of Killorglin and had been derelict and deteriorated over the years.

The work included creating a new cocktail bar/restaurant on the ground floor including all the associated spaces and 4 apartments on the upper two floors. The layout reconfiguration and structural design were sympathetic to the principles of conservation by aiming to retain as much of the original layouts, walls and intermediate timber floors as possible. This also presented sound, fire proofing and service route issues which were overcome together with specialists in these areas.  We also worked closely with Style So Simple Interior Design to complete the bar/restaurant fit out and the building facades.
